Ilse Jacobsen Rain150 ‘Thermal Rain’ Long Warm Raincoat

Ilse Jacobsen writes: "The Rain150 'Thermal Rain' style is a warm, breathable and rainproof winter coat with a soft Meida® padding inside. The Meida® padding has excellent insulation ability while still retaining a flat look. The midi length, the adjustable hood and the richly cut raglan sleeve makes this style extremely comfortable. Bottom sleeve can be adjusted by cuff strap. Coat has YKK 2-way zipper at front, hidden under placket. The patched front pockets features YKK AquaGuard Vislon zipper and zippered slits at side enables an adjustable fit. Inside the style has a zipped pocket at chest height and a comfortable taffeta lining throughout. The shell fabric is a light semi matt Taslan with functional TPU membrane at back and Ecorepel water- and dirt repellant surface treatment. Composition: Exterior 100 % Polyester, lining in 100% Nylon. Padding: Meida®, 100% Polyester. All seams are sealed. Functionality: W/P 10,000 mm, M/P 10,000 g/m2."

This is a lovely style that is finished to a very high standard, and designed with the protection from the worst wind and rain in mind. The cut is virtually straight, for a comfortable fit. The hood has a discreet elastic drawstring to adjusting around your face, and a second adjustment at the back of the hood to hold the hood on you head (the adjustment being around where a hat would sit, so that the hood moves with your head if looking left and right, up or down). The lower side zips allow for additional movement or to keep your legs warm and dry. We find it is a relaxed fit for the size. We have measured the UK14/EU40 as follows:

Chest: 57cm. Waist: 60cm.  Hips: 63cm.  Back length: 122cm. Sleeve length: 48cm.
