Style 100 is lightweight, suitable for layering in colder weather, with a detachable hood including drawstring and depth strap to adjust the fit, vertical zip pockets and reflective details for safety at night.
Sizing is true to size, styling is a straight cut, allowing for modest layering in cooler weather. As a guide, we have taken measurements as laid flat as below:
Nordic Weather is a new brand to the UK, they build their competence by encountering the elements – very much in keeping with Walk the Storm! We are very impressed with the design and quality of the raincoats – we have selected a lovely collection from the range which we feel match our ethos of bringing colour and vitality to the rain!
The fabric is Nordic Weather’s H-50 – a soft touch three-layer fabric, waterproof to 8000mm, breathable at 8000g/m2/24hrs. It is backed with polyurethane and coated with teflon to provide excellent waterproofing. All seams are tape-sealed. The garments will remain waterproof after washing with a mild detergent – we recommend using products designed for waterproof, breathable clothing such as Nikwax’s Tech Wash and TX Direct Wash In reproofing (do not use fabric conditioner as this will impair the performance of the fabric).
THE NORDIC WEATHER COLLECTION IS WARM AND WATERPROOF TO PROTECT YOU FROM THE CHALLENGES THE WEATHER GIVES US.
We are working with fabrics of the highest technical standards. Our fabrics are 100% waterproof, breathable, windproof and water repellent. This provides very functional and comfortable garments.
Technically speaking the fabrics have values of 8000/8000, meaning that the fabric can resist the pressure of a water column of 8000 millimeters. This is in other words absolutely waterproof.
All the garments have taped seams; each seam is sealed with a polyurethane seam tape, which is applied with heat and is bonded to the fabric. This makes the seams totally waterproof.
The garment is also breathable. Perspiration molecules are smaller than water molecules. The perspiration can go out but the raindrops cannot penetrate through the fabric.
Water repellant means that the upper layer of the fabric has been treated with a Teflon fabric protector, forcing the rain to fall off the fabric in drops.
The zippers used are produced by YKK, the world’s best Zipper brand.
All garments are produced according to EU’s environmental REACH code and Oeko® Tex 100 standard.
