This rain jacket is created to resemble nature’s own ecosystem – the biodegradable Poly Lactic Acid fabric is made from sugar beets and corn plants, and is laminated for waterproofing with a fully degradable polyurethane. The zipper is made from biodegradable polyamide yarn and even the print is made from soybean colouring. The jacket is therefore 100% degradable – once it has reached the end of it’s life, it can be returned to the earth.
The jacket may be wiped clean or washed at 30 degrees C – ensure the jacket is always stored clean and dry.
The fabric is waterproof to 10,000mm and is windproof – the water resistant seams are internally stitched, giving a clean outer look. The hood has drawstrings for adjustment which sit neatly inside the collar, and a drawcord at the waist allows for further adjustment and styling. Two large, hidden vertical pockets sit nicely at the front.
Very lightweight – the XL weighing in at under 400g – this raincoat is packable and portable. The fabric has a slightly crinkly texture with a smoother outer and slightly more textured inner face for comfort.
Sizing and tailoring is gender neutral – eg the Large is a Medium/Large for men – to fit approx 40″ chest – and a generous large or size 14 for women.
